How it works

Convert your unpaid invoices into cash in 3 simple steps
STEP 1
Upload your invoices

Invoice your clients. Upload your temp and perm invoices into the APositive portal or sync automatically through an integrated timesheet platform.

STEP 2
Access funds the same day

Draw up to 90% of the invoice value on the day it’s raised, or immediately through an integrated timesheet platform.

STEP 3
Your client settles their invoice

Continue managing your client relationships and collections as usual. Once your client settles their invoice, the remaining balance is released to you, less any fees.

What is recruitment invoice finance?

You’ve made the placement and the work has begun. But while contractors need to be paid on time and business costs continue, your client may not settle the invoice for weeks or even months.

What is invoice finance?

Invoice finance is a funding solution that allows businesses to unlock cash tied up in unpaid invoices. Instead of waiting 30 to 90 days for clients to pay, AFunding advances you up to 90% of the invoice value on the same day the invoice is raised. This helps recruitment and labour hire businesses improve cash flow, pay contractors on time, and keep operations running smoothly while waiting for customer payments.

Is my business eligible for invoice finance?

We work with workforce companies in Australia and New Zealand; from startups to mature businesses. We work with both temporary and permanent recruitment agencies.

How much does invoice finance cost?

There are a range of pricing models available to help meet your individual requirements.

We can charge a single fee as a percentage of your invoice so that you know your costs upfront and impact on your gross margin, or we can provide a Line of Credit where you pay for the funds you draw.

There are three main factors that determine the fees we charge, and once we know this information, we can set a fee relevant to your needs:

  • The type of timesheet and invoicing system you have in place to manage payroll and invoicing
  • The credit quality of your customers
  • Your customer payment terms

For our Line of Credit pricing we align our charge rate to a variable base rate:

  • Australian Base Rate: 10.17% as at 07.10.2026
  • New Zealand Base Rate: 11.21% as at 14.06.2023

These are base rates only. In addition, a margin rate may apply as separately disclosed to you. These rates may change from time to time.

Want a tailored quote? Send us an enquiry and our team can provide pricing based on your business needs and funding requirements.

What is invoice discounting?

Invoice discounting is a type of invoice finance that allows you to access cash tied up in unpaid invoices while retaining full control of your sales ledger and customer relationships. With APositive AFunding, your business continues to manage invoice collection directly, rather than selling your invoices.

Most APositive facilities are disclosed, meaning your customers are aware that invoice finance is in place. However, confidential invoice discounting may be available for eligible businesses where privacy is required.

What is the advance rate?

We advance up to 90% of the value of your invoices.

How quickly can I get funded?

At APositive, most recruitment and labour hire clients can be set up and accessing funds within 48 hours, subject to the completion of the application process, delivery of all necessary information and credit approval.

How do I draw funds?

Funding can be automated or you can log in to your finance portal to draw on funds. Your balance is repaid as your clients pay their invoices.

Can I fund permanent placement invoices?

Yes, you can fund permanent recruitment invoices via your AFunding Invoice Finance facility.

Alternatively, we have a Recruit Now, Pay Later product, APay which allows employers to pay recruitment fees in 3-6 month instalments.

Will I need to sell my invoices to APositive?

No, they remain your invoices. We simply leverage the value of those invoices to provide you access to cash flow. Collecting payments and managing customer relationships remain your responsibility.

Will my clients know I'm using Invoice Finance?

The majority of our AFunding Invoice Finance facilities are disclosed meaning that your customers are aware, however, there is an option to have a confidential facility if you meet certain eligibility requirements.
